DXC moves headquarters to Ashburn and goes ‘virtual first’
A smaller office will be designed for fewer on-site employees

IT services company Fortune 500 DXC Technology is moving from Tysons to a smaller headquarters in Ashburn in November, the company announced this week.
DXC’s new 10,000 square foot building is located at One Loudoun in Ashburn.
The new headquarters will reflect the shift to a virtual first mentality. Employees can work from anywhere and use the office as a meeting place. It’s designed around collaboration, say executives.
DXC started thinking about being virtual before the pandemic, said Chris Drumgoole, DXC chief operating officer.
âWhen I joined just under two years agoâ¦ we really took a step back and we were like, ‘Hey, what do we want the future of the business to be and how do we want to attract talents, what should be our ecological footprint? , much like the big picture. DXC has several hundred employees in the greater Washington, DC and Northern Virginia area; some will work on site and others will have access to it when needed. Less will work there permanently.

DXC has more than 130,000 employees worldwide.
The company was founded in 2017 after the merger of Computer Science Corp. and the Enterprise Services business of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Corp. In October 2020, DXC finalized the sale of its healthcare business to Veritas Capital for $ 5 billion, which the company planned to use. reduce its debt by about $ 3.5 billion.
